Activities
There are many ways residents can get involved in our community and participate in and active lifestyle. Our residents self-manage activities through various committees.
The Social Committee members plan and manage games such as bingo, mahjong, hand and foot and dominoes for residents. They host a New Year’s Eve party, a Christmas coffee, movie nights, monthly Saturday coffees and Oktoberfest to name a few.
The Kitchen Committee members plan and manage an Annual Dinner, pot luck dinners and dessert nights to bring residents together over a meal.
The Library Committee members manage our library books and bring in an author to speak twice a year. They also host the Wayzata High School Chorale in concert in our lobby just before Thanksgiving.
The Workshop Committee members can make minor repairs in the building as well as doing projects for the common rooms when needed. They have a well-stocked workshop for their own projects.
The Welcome/Sunshine Committee members welcome new residents and help orient them to our building. They also send get well and sympathy cards and memorials on behalf of all residents.
The Interior Design Committee members are responsible for keeping our common rooms up to date and beautiful. They also plan and manage the decorating of the Lobby for the holidays.
The Garden Committee members plant the flower pots and front door garden area to keep our entrance and patios looking beautiful in the summer.
The Finance Committee members help plan the annual budget, review the monthly financial reports and advise the board of directors on financial matters.
